Nanofiltration is a membrane filtration process that created from thin-film composite with a pore size range 0.1 to 10 nm. NF structure is smaller than Media filter and Ultrafiltration but larger than Reverse Osmosis. Nanofiltration is often used to greatly reduce levels of hardness, nitrates, sulfates, tannins, turbidity, color, low amount of TDS. It typically removes 50% to 90% depending on the material. Beside water treatment, Nanofiltration is often apply in the manufacturing process for pharmaceuticals, dairy products, textiles, etc.
